How classes are organized

Our Kids Classrooms are separated by age and stage of development.

Nursery: Newborns and infants who are crawling
Ones class: Children who are 1-year-old and walking stably
Twos class: Children who are 2-years-old
Preschool: Children ages 3 to 5-years-old and potty trained
Elementary: Children enrolled in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade

What you can expect in the Nursery

The Nursery is an environment for newborn children and those who are crawling. In this environment, we believe children can experience God’s love by the simplest forms of tender care. To help create a great experience for every child, we encourage parents to bring any items that will help us love the children to our best ability (i.e. a soothing blanket, a pacifier, diapers, bottles, etc.). While parents are attending the worship gathering, babies in this environment are well loved, fed, changed and enjoy a fun morning with our well-trained Team Members.

What you can expect in the One-Year-Old class

The Ones group is an environment for children who are 1-year-old. In this environment, we believe children can experience God’s presence through the simplest moments. These toddlers are invited to participate in age-appropriate activities that teach them about who God is and His love for them through indoor and outdoor play-time, sharing a snack, music and basic biblical principles. We understand that at this age, children will oftentimes experience separation anxiety, so we encourage parents to let us know how to help soothe their child as we desire for them to feel safe and loved.

What you can expect in the Two-Year-Old class

The Twos group is an environment for children who are 2-years-old. As children navigate this new and exciting season, they begin to truly learn and absorb information from their various environments. During this formational time, we desire to partner with parents to help their children begin to understand that God made them, God loves them and Jesus wants to be their forever friend. These toddlers are invited to participate in age-appropriate activities including interactive and creative Bible story time, indoor and outdoor play time, sharing a snack and music. During this life stage, many children begin toilet learning so please do not hesitate to let us know how we can assist in this new adventure.

What you can expect in the Preschool (ages 3 to 5-Years-Old) class

The Preschool environment is a place for children who are 3 to 5-years-old. As children enter into this very interactive stage of life, we believe they can begin to understand foundational truths about who God is, His love for them, and His desire to be their forever friend. By the time children graduate from this environment, our desire is for them to trust in these core truths. During our time together, these little ones are invited to participate in engaging activities, worship time, creative Bible teachings, fun crafts, sharing a snack and indoor and outdoor play time. We desire for our preschoolers to fully grasp God’s deep love and desire for an intimate relationship with them.

What you can expect in the Elementary (Transitional Kindergarten thru 5th Grade) class

The Elementary environment is a place for children who are enrolled in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The Elementary years of a child’s life can be one of the most formational seasons he or she may experience. There is much growth that occurs during these years; they learn basic skills that carry them through their later years such as reading, writing, math and community. In this environment, our desire is for children to understand the truths of loving God and loving others by intentionally diving into the Bible through age-appropriate lessons, group games, key Bible verses, worship and creative crafts that reinforce the lesson of the day. Children are assigned to small groups of the same age and a committed Grade Counselor for an entire semester to promote deep relationships, fellowship and deeper discussion.
