Listening is one of the most underrated qualities in life. But it is a primary piece of what it means to be a friend, and especially to be a Christian. In a time of racial tension such as this, we believe that we need to release our desires to fix the problem quickly and enter in humbly with a listening ear to people’s experiences that are different than ours. Jesus interacted with people that were marginalized and oppressed and met them by listening deeply to them and advocating for them. As we continue our series “Kingdom Color:the Christian Imperative for Racial Justice” we have the privilege of hearing from a panel of some friends from our community, as we practice the art of listening well.
