The Color of Compromise is not a call to shame or a platform to blame white evangelical Christians. It is a call to love Christ’s Body, the Church, and desire to practice a more racially unified church that no longer compromises what the Bible teaches about human dignity and equality. This 7-week core group will follow a video teaching by author Jemar Tisby, followed by discussion, and next steps. Reflection and reading between sessions is encouraged.

Explore faith, life, and meaning with us through Alpha. Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Typically run over about eight weeks, each session looks at a different question that people can have about faith and is designed to create conversation. It’s just an open, informal and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together.
Journey with us journey in this core group and learn the signs of emotionally unhealthy spirituality. Then we’ll begin to practice seven biblical, reality-tested ways to break through to the revolutionary life Christ meant for you. “The combination of emotional health and contemplative spirituality,” author Peter Scazzero says, “unleashes the Holy Spirit inside us so that we might experientially know the power of an authentic life in Christ.”

Ways to Learn and Grow
We know that many of you are seeking ways to listen, learn and grow in this season. As a church community, we believe the gospel is good news that tears down walls and builds bridges. Our faith in Jesus leads us to intentionally build bridges across ethnic, cultural, economic, and gender barriers. There is more work to do, and we have not arrived, but as disciples of Jesus we have and will continue to learn and work against any and all forms of racism, racial injustice and violence, in Jesus’ name. Click HERE for a list of resources and ways you can grow and
learn with us.
