We know that many of you are seeking ways to listen, learn and grow in this season. As a church community, we believe the gospel is good news that tears down walls and builds bridges. Our faith in Jesus leads us to intentionally build bridges across ethnic, cultural, economic, and gender barriers.
We are committed to living out the Kingdom vision that God’s family is multi-ethnic. Many of you know that we have been pursuing a comprehensive plan to this end over the past few years. While no plan is perfect, we are seeking to live out of our values in and through our leadership, Sunday worship gatherings, groups, ministry to families, community engagement, and more.
There is more work to do, and we have not arrived, but as disciples of Jesus we have and will continue to learn and work against any and all forms of racism, racial injustice and violence, in Jesus’ name. We are also calling our church family to pray for God’s mercy and grace to be poured out in our nation, city, and church family. Lord Jesus, have mercy on us all!
