Matt’s Blog: It all begins with a MOVEment

Flood Family,

Over the next 12-18 months there will be a lot of exciting changes at Flood, the first of which began this week. To save on facility costs, we are condensing into one third of our existing temporary office and midweek space for the next year.

This week, as I moved out of the office I’ve had since 2006, I thought to myself, “The Lord has impacted many lives in this space!!”

While our staff is getting a little cozier, this should minimally affect our ministry throughout the week. It is also motivating to get us moved into our permanent home as soon as we can! We are very grateful to those who have served the past two Saturdays at our new facility. We had to do some general maintenance to beautify the property and will continue to maintain the grounds until move-in. Thanks for helping us make a good impression on our future neighbors. If you want to help us move or with maintenance at the new property, please contact

We also brought a Project Manager on to our building team. Jamie Looney came to us strongly recommended by several churches and began work this past Friday. He is a value engineer and will help us gain occupancy in a timely and cost-effective manner. Please pray for wisdom and discernment as he consults us in the process. He is currently assessing our proposed plans and will be bringing recommendations to us soon. We are also working on the next phase of fundraising and financing.

We are off to a great start with our HOME Campaign, having seen over 50% participation; however, we want to see that grow to 100% in the next 6 months!

Stay tuned for some exciting events and opportunities. If you have yet to participate, please consider making an initial gift and 3 year pledge today. You can learn more and do so at

Last but not least, we are celebrating our two Graduate Interns, Kaitlyn Herrscher and Josh Kettles, as they recently graduated from Bethel Seminary!
This means their internships are both coming to end in August. Josh’s time on our team will be coming to a close at the completion of his internship. Kaitlyn will have an interim role as she prepares to serve as a missionary with Flood in Blantyre, Malawi. We are grateful for their faithful service and gifted leadership. We have also opened a position for a Young Adult/College Pastor. This person will be a part of our preaching team on Sundays and provide leadership to our college and young adult ministries throughout the week.

We are excited for the summer season at Flood. There are a lot of great opportunities to connect and grow, so don’t miss out! We are kicking off a brand new message series on the book of Exodus called Ex: A Deliverance Deferred this Sunday. I hope to see you there!
