Enrichments & Resources for Men
Men are unique in their design for a reason. Below, you will find announcements, resources, and encouragement in issues related to being a man.
Flood Life Groups are designed for people to experience life transformation by sharing life, applying Sunday’s message, and being on mission together. There are coed and gender-specific groups. If you cannot find a Men’s Life Group below that fits your schedule, please check out the Post College/Career or Engaged/Married pages to find a coed Life Group.
Flood Core Groups, workshops and counseling resources go beneath the surface of our lives and reach into areas that may be unexplored. They offer specific focus, scope, and intensity. Click here to visit our Core Resources page or check out the groups offered below that are designed specifically for men.
Theme for Men’s Events
In order to have a common language as we pursue Biblical masculinity, we have picked a theme for all events within the Men’s ministry: Building Men for Others. This theme is inspired by the book, “Season of Life: A Football Star, a Boy, a Journey to Manhood” by Jeffrey Marx. It’s the story of Joe Erhmann, who was a professional football player turned minister and high school football coach. The definition of masculinity and the code of conduct described in this book is the foundation for the journey we are on together. We want to be men who Lead Courageously, Accept Responsibility, Enact Justice on Behalf of Others, and Expect God’s Greater Reward.
Whether it is a social event, or a night focused on wrestling through a specific topic, these events are geared towards creating opportunities for men to bond and grow in their understanding of what it means to be a Man Built for Others.
Stay tuned for the next Man Monday
This is a chance for the men of Flood, and also those not quite connected, to get away for a weekend. We have amazing meals comprised mostly of meat, some fun competitions and games to get the adrenaline going, and inspiring talks, worship, and discussion to draw you closer to God. It’s not a typical retreat. You definitely do not want to miss it.
