About this sermon
Today we begin our new series, “Greystone Chapel,” taking a look at the context for Paul’s letter to the the Philippians. The series derives its title from a song made popular by Johnny Cash, in which the songwriter (Glen Sherley, an inmate at Folsom Prison), sings of of finding joy and freedom in Christ, in spite of being physically incarcerated. That theme of celebrating eternal joy in the midst of imprisonment parallels the story of Paul and Silas perfectly, as we learn through today’s passage found in Acts 16.
